My biggest measure of success are the photos that you cannot stop talking about, sharing and putting up in your house. The clients that become friends, whose stories I tell from where they first fell in love to where I meet their children now…
So This is Me…
Hi I’m Beate, I was born and raised in Sunny South Africa, but now based in The Netherlands with my Dutch other half. I left cruise ships about 5 years ago, where I was at sea for 5 years and had the privilege of seeing and capturing 57 countries around the world.
And that’s how I met the love of my life, in the middle of the Mediterranean ocean, on a ship, arguing about Peanut butter. I know, very Romantic right….. So after doing long distance for four years, I decided to leave everything behind and follow him to the other side of the world where we now live together.
I still love capturing Landscape and Wildlife photography but my love for people and let’s face it, I am a sucker for a great love story, made me pursue Wedding & Couples Photography. I love having a coffee with couples and getting to know their stories and of course spending the most important day with them and having a few laughs. I have a Degree in Art & Photography from the University of Pretoria, and I have spent 4 years already in the wedding industry and also collaborating with other Photographers and Videographers.
I am fluent in English, Dutch and Afrikaans and starting to learn Spanish so that I can capture even more spectacular love stories. I love adventure, good food, music festivals, travelling, animals and red wine.

My Style…
Your big day is supposed to be fun and celebrating your love, without the headache of endless posed photos. I believe the best photos are when you are just having fun and sharing special moments which makes you more relaxed. Therefore I don’t like the cheesy stuff. I will guide you throughout the day as we have fun and laugh to capture your best.
My editing style is clear, vivid colours, yet a moody air like some of the great masters in Art history, to create a timeless and magical feeling. This style also draws attention and highlights the details and emotions of the moment.
